How I Tipped the Purple Cow, Attracted Media Attention, and Won New Customers worth Thousands of Dollars

More Importantly, Here’s How You Can Do the Same Thing

In January 2005, with a one month old blog, I joined a business blog contest, entering the Best Marketing Blog category. With less than 50 posts of content, I won the voting – Seth Godin’s blog took second place. The contest itself was a PR campaign of the organizers and Seth certainly never got too excited about winning, but it doesn't matter, neither is part of the lesson we all can learn from and benefit.

Far more important than the contest, I turned that PR opportunity into a marketing and sales campaign that resulted in several new customers and thousands of dollars worth of new business - a pretty good return for a handful of small and simple tasks. In fact, this marketing and sales campaign resulted in a 1000% return within a few day of its final execution.

That’s better than a pretty good return. That’s a great return!

I combined simple and inexpensive PR, marketing and sales tactics into a strategy to win new customers I desired in a particular market. I’d like to share with you why I made the decisions I did, how I put the whole campaign together, and how you can too.

On May 15, 2007, I’m hosting a teleconference to share all the thoughts, tactics, and execution of my campaign - how I won the blogging award, attracted local media to promote my business, created a sales universe of people I wanted to work with, created a direct mail piece to draw their attention, and as a result garnered new customers and made a good amount of money in the process.

And better than telling you how I did it, I'm going to tell you how you can do the same thing.

Join me to learn how you can use PR, marketing and sales in your business and attract ideal customers who want to work with you. This is a how-to conference...if you're interested in theory, this call isn't for you.

The conference will feature the following:

  • Why I joined the blogging contest as a PR opportunity and why you should look for similar contest, events, and like opportunities
  • How I generated leads to get more votes than bloggers with much more traffic and name recognition
  • Why I issued a press release after I won the blog award, who I used to distribute the press release, and why you should do the same thing
  • How I created a press kit, who I sent it to and why
  • What I did with the newspaper articles written on my success
  • How I created a local list of prospects to market my services to and how you can do the same thing...it's painfully easy
  • Why I chose direct mail to reach my newly identified market and why direct mail remains a winner
  • Why I wrote the letter the way I did - all the key points to getting the letter read and compelling people to act
  • The list of resources I used to create this entire campaign and the cost of each item
  • Behind the scenes thoughts, ideas, and actions that went into each step and made this campaign a wild success - grossing over 1000% ROI in days
  • How you can leverage PR, marketing, and sales tactics to create your successful revenue campaign

If you're ready to truly have an actionable plan to boost your PR, marketing and sales outreach for qualified customers…then join us.

The cost of this call is only $29, but imagine the return!
